NIPPON DENSETSU KOGYO CO., LTD. and Ishizaka Inc. Establish “NDK-ISHIZAKA METAL CO., LTD.”
—Toward Building a New Resource Circulation Model in the Electrical Equipment Construction Sector—
NIPPON DENSETSU KOGYO CO., LTD. and Ishizaka Inc. have today established “NDK-ISHIZAKA METAL CO., LTD.,” a joint venture to operate a metal recycling business, based on a shareholders’ agreement concluded in March 2026.
Background and Purpose of the New Company
With the advancement of digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX), demand for base metals such as copper is expected to continue growing. As a result, the stable procurement of resources and the effective utilization of recyclable materials are becoming increasingly important social issues.
Against this backdrop, the NDK Group has identified the promotion of resource circulation and the creation of new value as key materiality issues. The Group is therefore actively working to properly collect and recycle scrap materials, including waste electric wires and cables generated at electrical equipment construction sites, positioning these efforts as an important initiative directly linked to addressing these challenges.
Ishizaka Inc., leveraging its expertise and achievements in the resource circulation field, including its proprietary and thorough sorting and separation technologies for reducing and recycling industrial waste, as well as its participation in government-commissioned advanced resource recycling projects, will work to improve recycling rates for industrial waste generated from electrical equipment construction sites.
This initiative aims to utilize the technologies, know-how, and human resources cultivated by both companies to achieve advanced resource circulation of materials and industrial waste generated at electrical equipment construction sites. Through this effort, the metal recycling business will be established as a business that supports the sustainable growth of both companies.
Based on the insights accumulated through this initiative, both companies will build a new resource circulation model in the electrical equipment construction sector and strive to set a new industry standard.
