Representatives from a Vietnamese government research institute visited our company

Recently, members of the Vietnam Institute of Building Materials, a research institute under the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam
, visited Ishizaka Sangyo and toured our facilities.

This visit was part of a five-year international project led by Saitama University and the Vietnamese government.
Vietnam’s rapid economic growth in recent years has led to a rapid increase in construction waste generated by construction work. However, this waste is currently not being recycled, which has become a national issue for Vietnam. To solve this issue, the project is conducting research into the development of guidelines for the effective use of construction waste in Vietnam and the distribution of recycled products.

Our recycling plant was chosen as the tour destination to learn about the current state of construction waste disposal in Japan.
On the day of the tour, in addition to explanations provided through an interpreter, the attendants also communicated directly in English with the attendants about the detailed disposal process, deepening their understanding.
In particular, regarding sorting, which is an issue in Vietnam, the participants were very interested in each step of our sorting technologies, such as wind power, magnetic sorting, and manual sorting, and asked many questions.

The visits are scheduled to continue in the future.
