2020 Japan Management Quality Award (Small and Medium Enterprise Category)

Ishizaka Sangyo received the Japan Management Quality Award in the Small and Medium Enterprise Category at the Japan Management Quality Awards, which is sponsored by the Japan Productivity Center’s Japan Management Quality Award Committee.

This award is a system that recognizes innovative capabilities for continuing to create customer value with the aim of improving productivity to strengthen international competitiveness. It is given to organizations that have engaged in management innovation activities that actively utilize self-assessment, and whose methods and results for creating customer value are recognized as reaching an “excellent level” in the overall evaluation.

Reasons for the award

The company was awarded the prize in recognition of its efforts to “change its business model in the wake of a dire management crisis,” “improve its brand image through ‘visible’ management centered on environmental education,” “establish a unique position in the industry by attracting competitors as customers,” and “transform its organizational culture through internal branding.”
