Notice of Yamayuri Railway (Mini SL) service suspension

In response to the urgent request made by the Governor of Tokyo at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25th to “refrain from unnecessary outings this weekend,” our village will also be canceling events and suspending operation of the Yamayuri Railway (mini steam locomotive/bullet train) from Saturday, March 28th to Monday, April 20th in order to strengthen measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our visitors, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.

We also ask for your cooperation in the following infection prevention measures.
・ Please wash your hands and gargle frequently.
・ Please use the disinfectant provided at the entrance.
・ Please refrain from visiting the village if you have cold symptoms, a fever of 37.5°C or higher, or are experiencing severe fatigue or shortness of breath.

We will continue to give the utmost consideration to the health and safety of our visitors and employees, and strive to ensure that you can continue to enjoy Mitomi Past and Present Village with peace of mind.We appreciate your continued patronage.

Please note that there is a possibility that events may be canceled or the period of suspension of steam locomotive operations may be extended in the future depending on requests from the government and local authorities, press releases, changes in the situation, etc. Please check the website in advance if you are planning to visit the village.
