Guided tour of the resource recycling facility

This course allows participants to experience the initiatives of Ishizaka Inc., the operator of Santome Konjakumura.
The program begins with an opening lecture led by our expert staff.

Even when we know environmental and waste-related issues are important, it’s easy to feel that they don’t directly concern us.
By visiting the actual site, we invite you to explore these environmental challenges together in a tangible and relatable way.

“Why is waste separation necessary?”
“Why do we have to pay to dispose of waste?”
Throughout the tour, we address these common questions and provide clear, practical answers.

By the end of the visit, you will gain a solid understanding of intermediate processing in industrial waste management, as well as what you personally can do to address environmental issues.
And once you’ve learned, it’s time to put it into practice.
We hope that even small changes in your actions—starting on your way home—will make a difference.

After the tour, please feel free to explore Santome Konjakumura at your leisure.

After the tour, you are free to explore Santome Konjakumura at your own pace.
In this biodiversity-rich satoyama, certified “AAA” under the JHEP certification, enjoy the unique natural landscapes that can only be experienced in the season of your visit.

At Oak Woods Community Plaza, you can take part in course programs that allow you to experience the “circle of life,” browse ethical goods, or try grounding by walking barefoot on the earth within the satoyama.
We invite you to fully immerse yourself here through all five senses, for as long as time allows.
