Regarding the final presentation competition of the “Green Blue Education Forum 2024”
The Green Blue Education Forum 2024 (GBEF), organized by the Green Blue Education Forum Executive Committee (Chair: Noriko Ishizaka, Representative Director, Ishizaka Sangyo Co., Ltd.) and co-hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, will hold its final presentation competition on Saturday, November 2nd at the Kyoto Prefectural Kyoto Gaku and Reisaikan. The GBEF is open to
elementary school students to university students (under 25 years old) living in Japan, and awards will be given to outstanding activities and proposals on the theme of “The Environment We Want to Protect and the Future We Want to Create,” with the aim of creating a sustainable society. Six teams that passed the first round of judging will participate in the final presentation competition. In
addition to the final presentations and awards ceremony, the event will also feature a panel discussion titled “SDGs Future Discussion,” as well as presentations of cutting-edge case studies from Japan and abroad. The event
will be available to watch both in person and online (application details are provided below).

[About the Presentation Competition]
Theme: “The Environment We Want to Protect and Preserve, the Future We Want to Create.”
Eligibility: Elementary, middle, and high school students and university students (under 25 years old) residing in Japan.
Judging Criteria: Originality of the theme, overall structure, originality of the proposal, empathy, and ability to communicate.
Judging and Awards:
The first round of judging took place on Friday, October 4, 2024, based on entry forms and presentation videos of up to three minutes. Of the 64 teams from 25 prefectures, six teams passed the first round. On the day, the final round of judging will be held, with the awards determined based on the presentations of the finalist teams. In addition to the Minister of the Environment Award (Grand Prize), the Kyoto Prefectural Governor’s Award and Special Sponsorship Award will also be presented.
