Currently, we have achieved the industry’s highest reduction and recycling rate of 98%. Rather than keeping this technology and know-how to ourselves, we offer public tours throughout the year to share and spread it to as many people as possible. We are committed to resource recycling and the restoration of the natural environment through our daily waste disposal and satoyama conservation projects, and we are uniquely positioned to share these insights. Last year, approximately 60,000 visitors visited Mitomi Past and Present Village. The “awareness” each visitor gained here can be considered the first step toward realizing a recycling-oriented society. Learn about resource and satoyama recycling and discover ideas for individuals and businesses working toward a sustainable society. For past case studies or more detailed information, please contact us by phone. Mitomi Past and Present Village Office TEL: 049-259-6565 Monday to Saturday 10:00-17:00 (excluding holidays/closed on Tuesdays)
