Ishizaka Inc. fully adopts renewable energy electricity and achieves 100% renewable energy

Ishizaka Inc. (Headquarters: Iruma-gun, Saitama Prefecture; President: Noriko Ishizaka) is pleased to announce that, starting in December 2021, its industrial waste intermediate treatment plant and its environmental education site, Santome Konjakumura, have fully implemented electricity derived from renewable energy sources that utilize environmental value and do not emit CO2.

Ishizaka Inc. was one of the first companies to introduce “Sainokuni Furusato Denki 1,” the first prefecture-produced CO2-offset electricity program in Japan using non-fossil fuel certificates , and has been working to promote a local production and consumption model of renewable energy produced in Saitama Prefecture. By replacing the supply shortfall with electricity derived from renewable energy sources that utilize environmental value, Ishizaka has achieved its “100% Renewable Energy Declaration RE Action 2,” which aims to convert all electricity used to 100% renewable energy.
This is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by approximately 4,000 tons.

Ishizaka Inc., which has set a vision of “Zero Waste Design *3” to realize a sustainable society, will continue to optimize energy use and switch to renewable energy to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions, aiming for net zero carbon throughout the value chain.
