“ISHIZAKA START-UP LAB” opens to promote zero waste ~ Creators and waste disposal companies join forces to create “recycling” value ~

On April 1st, Ishizaka Sangyo opened a new base, “ISHIZAKA START-UP LAB,” to promote “zero waste,” which eliminates waste, garbage, and extravagance. “ISHIZAKA START-UP LAB” will work with external partners, including creators, to develop products and services that take into account the recycling and utilization of resources, based on the concept of “recycling.”

Ishizaka Sangyo aims to recycle 100% of construction waste through thorough sorting and classification, and has currently achieved a reduction and recycling rate of 98%. By creating new value in the form of resources from worthless waste and curbing the consumption of natural resources, we aim to realize a sustainable society. However, with global economic growth and population increases, it is said that the amount of global waste will double by 2050. Even in Japan, waste volume is rapidly increasing due to the remnants of the mass production, mass consumption, and mass waste of the high economic growth period, and it is even said that if this continues, there will not be enough final disposal sites. Therefore, we opened “ISHIZAKA START-UP LAB” with the aim of creating a system that does not produce waste at all, and utilizing and recycling waste as a resource.

Going forward, we will continue to develop technology to recycle 100% of the construction waste brought to Ishizaka Sangyo. In order to realize Ishizaka Sangyo’s mission of “creating the next lifestyle in harmony with nature,” we will create products based on the concept of “recycling” at “ISHIZAKA START-UP LAB” and create a new lifestyle that eliminates waste, garbage, and extravagance.
