Preparations for the environmental event “Living with SATOYAMA EXPO 2020,” which was scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 26th, have been progressing with the support of many stakeholders and collaborators. However,
due to the increasing risk of the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) within Japan, the government issued guidelines on February 20th requesting that we reconsider the necessity of holding events.
With the highest priority being to ensure that participants, stakeholders, and collaborators can participate in the event with peace of mind, after careful internal consideration, we have decided to postpone the “Living with SATOYAMA EXPO 2020” until next year.
We would like to offer our deepest apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the event being held for the first time in four years and had planned to participate, as well as to all the exhibitors, performers, and volunteers who had been making preparations.The secretariat will provide further information regarding next year’s event.
