The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Ministry of the Environment will jointly hold the “Green Blue Education Forum Competition”

In the summer of 2019, the Green Blue Education Forum Executive Committee, an offshoot of the “Experience Opportunity Place” Research Organization, for which our company serves as the secretariat,
will be hosting the “Green Blue Education Forum Competition” with the aim of discovering and nurturing future environmental leaders.

This competition allows young people to independently identify issues regarding the natural environment they wish to preserve for the future, think of ways to solve these issues, and communicate their ideas in their own words.

Children will be divided into teams of three and will compile their thoughts into short videos about “the nature and environment we want to protect and preserve for the future, and the future we want to create,” and share the perspectives necessary to create a sustainable society.

Entrants will be divided into three age groups, ranging from elementary school students to graduate students (ages 6-25). Entrants will be asked to submit a few-minute video expressing their desire to continue protecting or creating new treasured items or memorable places, and the video will be judged.

The competition is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Ministry of the Environment, and not only will the best teams be awarded the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award and the Minister of the Environment Award, but additional prizes will also include experiential field tours both in Japan and abroad.

Why not give it a try as a valuable summer vacation experience?
