Received the Kanto Region Electricity Use Rationalization Committee Chairman’s Award

Ishizaka Sangyo Co., Ltd.’s Maintenance Department received the Chairman’s Award in the Meritorious Contributions category of the 2018 (77th) Kanto Region Electricity Use Rationalization Committee Chairman’s Award.

This award is given to factories, businesses and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in areas such as the effective use of electricity and the promotion of energy conservation.

The activities of factories and business establishments are evaluated based on five criteria: (1) organizational management, (2) power management, (3) equipment management, (4) efficiency, and (5) special notes. Companies that have achieved outstanding results are recognized during Energy Conservation Month in February.

In fiscal 2014, our company received the Saitama Prefecture Governor’s Award for Outstanding Business in Rationalizing Electricity Use in the Kanto Region, and in fiscal 2015, the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Director’s Award for Outstanding Business in Energy Management.

This time, the award was not given to Ishizaka Sangyo as a whole, but to our company’s specialized department, the Maintenance Department, which manages and maintains our factories and facilities.

The Maintenance Section, which is responsible for all aspects of the company’s infrastructure, including electricity, water, and air, is a permanent organization specializing in promoting and managing the rationalization of electricity use and also promotes energy management.

In this award, we received high praise, primarily for the following four areas:

・Reduction of power consumption and CO2 emissions through compressor integration
・Reduction of power consumption and CO2 emissions through the introduction of LED lighting in factories
・Reduction of trouble time through strengthened equipment maintenance
・Reduction of power consumption during daytime hours when power demand is high through the introduction of storage battery equipment as a load leveling measure

We will continue to work on energy management, contributing to reducing environmental impact and realizing a sustainable society.
