Ishizaka Sangyo received the “Management Innovation Promotion Award” at the 2018 Japan Management Quality Awards ceremony
On February 14, 2019,
the “2018 Japan Management Quality Awards Award Ceremony” was held at Kasumigaseki Iino Hall.
Ishizaka Sangyo received the “Management Innovation Promotion Award,” the second highest award after the “Japan Management Quality Award,” and its president, Noriko Ishizaka, attended the ceremony.

The Japan Management Quality Award has been held annually since 1996 by the Japan Productivity Center, a public interest incorporated foundation, and the Japan Management Quality Award Committee, with the aim of improving corporate productivity. The award system recognizes organizational capabilities that emphasize improving employee capabilities and strengthening the value provided to customers.
In 2018, a record 17 organizations applied, and 10 organizations were awarded, including three organizations for the top award, the Japan Management Quality Award, five organizations for the Management Innovation Promotion Award, and two organizations for the Management Innovation Encouragement Award.
In receiving the Management Innovation Promotion Award, our company was recognized for its efforts to promote management innovation that integrates economic value and social value, with the aim of shifting from “waste disposal” to “resource recycling.” We were also recognized for our strong promotion of standardization and improvement of operations through the “ISO 7 Integrated Management System,” as well as our continued pursuit of our ideal state through continuous review, including changes in our leadership style.
The award ceremony held on the 14th featured speeches by the three organizations that received the Management Quality Award, a panel discussion by top management from organizations that have previously received the Management Quality Award, and a special speech by Mr. Kigawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd., and concluded on a high note.

On the following day, the 15th, the award-winning companies gave presentations divided into sections based on themes as part of the “Customer Value Management Forum Deep Dive Program.” Our company’s Senior Managing Director, Tomoko Ishizaka, spoke at the session titled “Aiming to Realize CSV (Creating Shared Value),” introducing our company’s CSV initiatives, which focus on “considering how to contribute to society by simultaneously increasing economic and social value through business.”

After introducing case studies from representative companies, the program also included a group discussion where each participant considered “What does CSV mean in their own organization?” and shared their opinions. Selected employees from our company also participated, providing a valuable opportunity for cross-industry exchange, where participants could share their awareness of issues across industries.
