Our efforts were featured in the magazine “INDUST”

Our company’s efforts were featured in the December issue of “INDUST,” a magazine specializing in industrial waste treatment.
In this issue’s special feature, “New business development from industrial waste treatment – giving back to residents and creating jobs,”
our efforts toward an “environmental industry” that utilizes our main business while also engaging in agriculture and environmental education
were introduced along with an interview with our company’s representative, Noriko Ishizaka.

In the Santome region where our company is located,
a circular farming method called “leaf compost farming” has been practiced since the Edo period, in which fallen leaves from the woods are used as compost for fields.
We operate the Santome Past and Present Village as a field where people can learn about the “environment” as a whole in a broad sense, while learning about the history and culture of the region one by one.

In addition, Ishizaka Farm grows vegetables using traditional leaf compost farming methods, and offers programs that allow visitors to experience food and agriculture through farming, as well as Satoyama culture.

The report states the importance of transforming industrial waste disposal businesses into environmentally-creative businesses, as an industry that creates an industrial cycle.
