The World Circular Economy Forum, held at the Pacifico Yokohama International Conference Center from October 22nd to 24th, was featured in the Environmental Newspaper.
The World Circular Economy Forum was jointly organized by the Ministry of the Environment and the Finnish Innovation Fund (SITRA). The event
was attended by the environment ministers of both countries, as well as many government and international organization officials, who discussed and reported on activities aimed at achieving the SDGs and building a circular society.
Our company representative, Noriko Ishizaka, also gave a case study on “urban food circulation systems,”
touching on the issue of microplastics in the ocean and
stating, “In fact, many substances penetrate into the soil due to pesticides and landfilling of garbage, and have an impact.” She explained
our company’s efforts to develop a field where people can learn about the environment, focusing on soil and starting farming.
The closing speech was given by Vice Minister of the Environment Tsukasa Akimoto.
1) Setting and sharing specific goals for each entity, including countries, companies, and individuals;
2) Promoting a movement toward building a circular economy;
3) Expanding action through public-private partnerships.
