[Friday, May 18th] Satoyama Specialists to Present at the “Satoyama Living Forum” – Participants Wanted!

On Friday, May 18th, our company will be holding the second forum of the Satoyama Living Association, chaired by our company representative, Noriko Ishizaka.

The Satoyama Living Association was established in July of last year with the aim of passing on irreplaceable satoyama to future generations. At the forum, satoyama specialists will gather to discuss the importance of protecting, utilizing, and living off the blessings of satoyama.

This second event will be held at the local Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Center “Muse” and Mitomi Konjaku Village.
Ishizaka Sangyo, which utilizes satoyama as a place of education, will reexamine the value of satoyama and propose ideas for passing it on to the next generation from a food perspective. The event will feature talks
by Kosuke Motani, renowned for his “satoyama capitalism,” Masayuki Okuda, a chef representing local production and consumption, Seiji Nakajima of the Tokachi Satoyama Design Institute, and Noriko Ishizaka, and we hope to work with everyone to consider new ways to utilize satoyama.

The third part, limited to 150 people, will feature a special Satoyama buffet prepared by Chef Okuda of Al-Che-Ciano, an Italian restaurant in the Shonai region of Yamagata Prefecture.
Please join us for this rare opportunity to gather together professionals who are making the most of Satoyama.
