We exhibited at “EcoPro 2017: The Future of Environment and Energy” held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from December 7th (Thurs) to 9th (Sat) !
This year, we exhibited a hands-on environmental education booth with the theme of “Satoyama x Soil x Mitomi Vegetables.” Participants learned about the insects and plants that live in Mitomi’s Satoyama while walking through a maze. By using their five senses to find the correct answer, everyone from children to adults could learn while having fun.
In addition, the Kunugi no Mori Kitchen Car came on a business trip and sold “delicious experiences” such as soup made with vegetables from our company’s farm, Ishizaka Farm, and focaccia made with “hattan flour” made by grinding barley into the dough.
Many people were able to experience “Mitsutomi vegetables”, which are grown using traditional farming methods handed down since the Edo period, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
