The Ecuadorian Ambassador to Japan visited the event

On November 22nd, Ecuadorian Ambassador to Japan, Jaime Barberis, visited our company.
Next year, 2018, marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ecuador, and
various related events are planned.

They toured our recycling facility and the Satoyama we are preserving, and offered a votive plaque to the guardian deity of Kunugi Forest.
The plaque read, “May the relationship between Japan and Ecuador become even better.”

Ecuador is home to a diverse range of ecosystems and a rich natural environment, including the Galapagos Islands, as well as a rich agricultural industry that promotes organic farming, such as cacao and bananas.
Furthermore, in the south, there is a region called Vilcabamba, famous for its longevity, where the much-talked-about food “quinoa” is also produced.

This visit marked the start of a new collaboration between Ishizaka and Ecuador.
Please look forward to more from Ishizaka and Ecuador in the future.
