Our experiential learning was featured in the Environmental Newspaper

The Ministry of the Environment used our facility, Mitomi Konjaku Mura Village, for environmental education training conducted by the Ministry of the Environment for local government officials. The training on the day was featured in the Environmental Newspaper.

The training included hands-on environmental education at the Kunugi Forest Environmental School, which is certified as a “place for hands-on opportunities*1.”
An orientation was given on ESD initiatives and the importance of the 3Rs, and after participating in guided tours of the recycling factory and forest, a workshop was also held for the participants to exchange opinions.

The Ministry of the Environment is considering holding training at our company next year and beyond, and hopes that this training will serve as a catalyst for spreading the idea of ”a place for experience opportunities.”

*1 Experience Opportunity Place: A system in which prefectural governors certify businesses that engage in experience activities that create opportunities for people to interact with living things in a rich natural environment, as well as environmental activities such as resource recycling. Our company’s “Kunugi Forest Environmental School” was certified as the first experience opportunity place by the Saitama Prefectural Governor in 2012.
