An interview with our company representative, Noriko Ishizaka, was published in the August 14th edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
In 2017, as baby boomer business owners reach the age of 70,
business succession has become a major theme for small and medium-sized enterprises across the country.
With the declining birthrate and aging population, and more women entering the workforce, there have been an increasing number of cases of women taking over businesses.
The article, titled “An Interview with Two Women Who Became Presidents in Their 30s,” featured an interview with CEO Ishizaka.
Regarding the important points in business succession, Ishizaka said,
“Management and life are one. It’s good to look at your parents’ business with the resolve to choose your life. Managers have a responsibility to change the content of their business to suit the changing times, but they should also value the underlying philosophy.” He
also said, “What’s important for managers is a sense of mission, responsibility, and passion. Even if you lack intelligence or academic ability, your employees can make up for it.”
