We received renewed certification for JHEP from the Ecosystem Conservation Society of Japan.

On July 10th, the oak forest in Mitomi Konjaku Mura, where Ishizaka Sangyo is carrying out conservation activities,
received renewed JHEP certification from the Ecosystem Conservation Society-Japan.

This year marks the first renewal since the facility received the highest rank, AAA (Triple A), of the JHEP (Habitat Evaluation and Certification Program) certification in 2012 .

JHEP certification is a method for evaluating forest environments that focuses on the living conditions of living creatures.
A higher rating means that the forest is a comfortable habitat for more living creatures.

The certification must be renewed every five years and undergoes an audit.
By continuing to renew the certification for five, ten, or even more years,
the forest will become one in which biodiversity is continuously protected.
We are the first company to receive the highest rank of AAA renewal certification.

Thanks to these steady conservation efforts, the forest has been reborn as a rich habitat for a wide variety of plants.
The number of herbaceous plants in the Kunugi Forest increased from 30 to 40 species at the time of certification
to 50 to 60 species in five years. The number of species such as the Cymbidium orchid and the Sasabagin orchid
, which are designated as near-threatened species in Saitama Prefecture, has also
increased.

We will continue to protect and nurture the oak forest, which provides a home for many living creatures.
