Ishizaka Inc. Receives Good Innovation Systematic Award (SIMA)
Ishizaka Inc. received the “Good Innovation Systematic Award” at the first Systematic Innovation Management Awards (SIMA), presented by the Executive Innovation Committee (EIC).

This management award was established to comprehensively evaluate innovation management within companies and organizations. It assesses contributions to society, empathy, organizational creativity and culture, and management systems that sustain value creation.
Thirteen companies were selected for this very first round. Ishizaka was awarded the “Good Innovation Systematic Award” for establishing processes, mechanisms, systems, and ecosystems that foster innovation both internally and externally. We were specifically cited for “expanding waste management into a circular ecosystem encompassing education and community partnerships, while operating with high transparency.”
President’s Comment – Noriko Ishizaka
Since our founding, Ishizaka has practiced circular management that connects resources, life, economy, and culture, guided by our vision of “Zero Waste Design” and the philosophy of “not leaving waste as waste.”
What we value most is the “human spirit.”
Pride, conviction, empathy, and resolve.
We believe the quality of these emotions is the true strength of an organization and the value it brings to society.
Moving forward, we will continue to practice—not merely idealize—the fusion of civilization and culture.
About the SIMA Good Innovation Award
Presented by the Executive Innovation Committee (EIC) (Secretariat: Tokyu Research Institute Co., Ltd., Mainichi Newspapers Co., Ltd., Japan Innovation Network Chairperson). Aiming to discover, learn from, and disseminate outstanding cases by focusing not only on the “results” of innovation but also on the “driving forces” behind them, the evaluation centers on the following three elements:
① Empathy for Society — Deep understanding of social issues and customer needs
② Organizational Capability & Culture — An organization’s execution and transformation power to realize innovation
③ Systematic Approach — Innovative methodologies as reproducible frameworks
This combination uncovers cases possessing latent value that has not been sufficiently recognized. Through this award, Japan will communicate its unique innovation management model to the world, distinct from regions like Silicon Valley.
