On Friday, September 27th, we began accepting applications for the Fager Co., Ltd. x Ishizaka Sangyo Co., Ltd. corporate training program, “Corporate Progress and Future Towards a Carbon-Free Society in 2050.”
On Friday, September 27, 2024, Fager Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Takahiro Ishizaki; hereinafter “Faeger”) and Ishizaka Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Miyoshi-cho, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Noriko Ishizaka; hereinafter “Ishizaka Sangyo”) will jointly host a corporate training program themed around “GX (Green Transformation)” titled “Corporate Progress and Future Towards a Carbon-Free Society by 2050.
” Japan has declared its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, effectively eliminating greenhouse gas emissions, and companies are being asked to take decarbonization measures. With this becoming an urgent social issue, this program is aimed at those who don’t know where to start or would like to see examples from other companies.
This program showcases the decarbonization efforts of Ishizaka Sangyo, which aims for a circular economy. The program will introduce Ishizaka Sangyo’s decarbonization efforts while touring a resource recycling plant and restored satoyama forests. Following the lecture, Fager will give a talk on “Carbon Credit Basics and the Latest Information,” introducing corporate carbon credit initiatives for decarbonization.
After the talk, there will be time for participants to ask questions and interact with each other. We welcome
participation from anyone interested in corporate GX, whether they’re looking to implement decarbonization management or simply broaden their knowledge.
[Faeger Co., Ltd.]
Fager is one of the few companies in Japan that can handle everything from carbon credit generation to sales. We provide companies with “credits that show the faces of producers working toward decarbonization,” providing value not only through carbon offsetting but also through PR. Furthermore, by supporting credit generation and purchasing the credits, we generate revenue for farmers and promote activities to reduce CO₂ emissions in agriculture. In the first year, fiscal year 2023, approximately 60 farmers from 14 prefectures, covering a total area of over 1,500 hectares, generated approximately 6,000 tons of credits, which were certified by the 58th J-Credit Scheme Certification Committee. In 2024, the initiative is expected to expand to 70,000 tons. The business model has also attracted attention and been featured in numerous media outlets.
