3/22 A delegation of Brazilian legislators (federal and local) visited our company
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, nine Brazilian lawmakers visited our company.
This visit was part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Juntos!! Latin America and the Caribbean Friendship Promotion Program.” This program is expected to foster greater understanding and interest in Japan, strengthen political and economic relations, and promote exchanges at the legislative level. At our

company, they observed our sorting, classification, and reduction technologies for concrete, wood, and mixed soil and sand waste, and also walked around Mitomi Past and Present Village, a site for Satoyama conservation activities.

■Juntos!! Latin America and the Caribbean Friendship Promotion Program This program
is aimed at Latin American countries who are expected to contribute to strengthening ties with Japan in various fields. It provides opportunities to learn about Japan’s diplomatic policies, traditions, and cutting-edge technologies, with the aim of deepening their understanding of Japan and ultimately deepening ties between Japan and Latin America.
“Juntos” means “together” in Spanish and Portuguese, and was a key word in Prime Minister Abe’s diplomatic speech in São Paulo during his 2014 visit to Latin America.
