Since the mid-18th century, industrial development and technological advances have enabled us to live convenient and comfortable lives. However, the need for many resources has led to the destruction of nature, disrupting the Earth’s natural self-purifying balance and causing environmental problems that continue to this day. These environmental problems are occurring on a global scale, but they are not someone else’s problem; each and every one of us is called upon to take them seriously and take action.
This course will be divided into three sessions and will cover topics such as global warming, the plastic problem, and the creation of an environmentally conscious society. We hope that this will be an opportunity to learn about what is currently happening in the world and in Japan, what the future holds, and to think about what we can do to continue to live a prosperous life.
