We are looking for participants for the “Yamayuri Club” social event “Leaf Raking Experience” on Sunday, February 24th!

Three times a year, we hold a “Zero Waste Campaign” as a social event for the “Yamayuri Club,” a community made up of local residents and people who understand our activities. Members of the club volunteer to clean up public roads.

The first Yamayuri Club social gathering and zero-waste campaign of 2019 will be held on Sunday, February 24th.
This time, after the public road cleanup, participants will participate in the “leaf raking” experience, a winter tradition in the Mitomi area.
Sweeping, collecting, and packing fallen leaves from the oak forest into baskets will warm you up enough to blow away the cold.
The collected leaves will be turned into compost and used to improve the soil at Ishizaka Farm.
Enjoy this experience of Satoyama culture that can only be experienced at this time of year.

*For safety reasons, participants in the public road cleaning are limited to those in the third grade of elementary school and above.
