Health Commitment

Ishizaka Inc. believes that the health of each and every employee is one of the company’s greatest assets and an essential resource that contributes to both the well-being of local communities and the sustainable growth of the company.
We hereby declare our commitment to supporting the health of every individual through the creation of a workplace where employees can work in both physical and mental well-being, as well as through proactive support for employees’ voluntary health initiatives, fostering a culture in which the organization as a whole supports personal health.

Health and Productivity Management Promotion Framework

Health and Productivity Management Goals

In addition to creating a work environment where employees can maintain both physical and mental well-being, we offer a wide range of employee benefits.
Alongside standard programs, these include insurance schemes that provide security in times of need and support asset building for retirement, as well as physical fitness assessments designed to help employees understand their fitness levels and encourage regular exercise. All benefits are tailored to individual lifestyles and designed to support employees in their daily lives.
Furthermore, through cross-departmental collaboration within the company, we provide opportunities for health education and consultation, and will continue to promote initiatives that further enhance employee well-being.

Initiatives / Case Studies

Shiawase Kitchen
We offer healthy bento meals made with vegetables grown on our own company farm.
With employees’ well-being in mind, we provide daily rotating menus that are nutritionally balanced and highlight seasonal ingredients.
To support smoking cessation, non-smokers are offered three complimentary meals per month, creating a system that encourages healthier lifestyle choices.
Employee Rest Facility
We have employee rest spaces designed to support effective recovery: a rest room for office staff located on the upper floors of the headquarters building with scenic views, and a dedicated rest facility for production staff equipped with dining and nap areas.
Based on the belief that “even 15 minutes of lying down fully stretched out can lead to efficient physical recovery,” we have created environments where employees can properly relax and recharge.
Health Promotion
In addition to regular health checkups, we provide subsidies for and actively encourage eligible employees to undergo voluntary medical examinations.
We place strong emphasis on raising health awareness and promoting well-being through initiatives such as daily radio calisthenics, physical fitness assessment events, and the provision of consultation opportunities related to both physical and mental health.

Programs Supporting Diverse Working Styles

・Promotion of Leave Utilization

We offer programs such as Bridge Leave, which encourages the planned use of extended vacations, as well as a Birthday Leave System that allows employees to take time off to celebrate their own or their family members’ birthdays.

・Support for Balancing Work with Childcare and Caregiving

We provide flexible work-hour adjustment and leave programs that allow employees to respond to sudden family health issues or attend their children’s school events, such as classroom visits and parent–teacher meetings.
In addition, we offer caregiving leave, pet care leave, and other supportive programs to help employees balance work with their personal responsibilities.

・Career Development Support

We support continuous career development by providing programs such as language certification assistance for global employees and qualification support during childcare leave, ensuring that employees can continue building their careers with the company’s backing.

Occupational Safety

Based on the belief that “safety comes first in all work,” our Safety and Health Committee takes the lead in promoting initiatives tailored to the specific characteristics of each workplace, while reflecting employees’ voices.
Through employee-driven efforts—such as site-initiated measures to enhance safety and reduce risks, as well as regular hazard prediction training conducted during plant meetings—we foster a strong culture of safety across the organization.

Promotion of Digital Transformation (DX)

By leveraging advanced technologies such as IoT and AI, we promote digital transformation across our operations to enhance labor efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve workplace safety.
Through the visualization of production data, we further strengthen the PDCA cycle and aim to realize a smart plant.

Promotion of the Utilization of Highly Skilled Global Talent

We have established systems to nurture talent who can address the globally shared challenge of waste management from an international perspective, regardless of national boundaries.
In addition, we provide support for obtaining language certifications and have introduced mechanisms to support the issuance of cross-border career credentials endorsed by Japan’s Digital Agency, which enhance the authenticity and credibility of professional experience and skills acquired in Japan.

Human Resource Development

Career Model

With the realization of our philosophy in mind, we place self-driven capability at the core of our approach and provide training programs tailored to employees’ years of service.
By objectively assessing and evaluating the level of thinking and behavior required for each role, we support career development through training designed to prepare employees for their next steps.
In addition, we offer business skills training led by both internal and external instructors, as well as specialized programs for mid-level leaders, providing opportunities to develop essential management skills.

Internal Company Projects

Project Proposals to Management
We provide opportunities for employees to propose and present new business ideas to management, drawing on their own aspirations and areas of expertise to help shape a future aligned with our vision, “Zero Waste Design.”
Everyone is given the chance to take on this challenge, and selected proposals are launched as active projects.
Bee My Baby Project
It is often said that if honeybees were to disappear from the Earth, humans would have only four years left to live.
Honeybees play an essential role in sustaining human life and serve as a barometer of the satoyama ecosystem.
With a desire to create and protect environments in which honeybees can thrive—and to share the importance of their existence—we engage in beekeeping activities.
“Sharing the Same Table” Project
Even though employees may work in different roles or locations, they are colleagues within the same company—and because we spend nearly one-third of each day together, the desire to “share the same table” naturally emerged.
This project was launched from the aspirations of younger employees and brings together members from across departments to collaboratively plan initiatives and develop menus served through Shiawase Kitchen.
