Local Communities & Society

Rooted in our local communities and society, we aspire to be a trusted presence—one that people can genuinely say, “We’re glad you’re here.”
We believe that solving regional and societal challenges is made possible through collaboration and co-creation that transcend individual roles and positions.
By valuing connections with diverse partners across industries and national borders, we seek to shape the future together.

Community Engagement

To revitalize local communities and address region-specific challenges, we actively promote initiatives in collaboration with local partners.
Through these efforts, we strive to serve as a bridge that connects and supports communities in diverse ways.

Conclusion of a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement with Miyoshi Town

Since 2018, we have partnered with Miyoshi Town, home to our headquarters, under a comprehensive cooperation agreement to promote regional revitalization and community development through initiatives such as satoyama preservation, regional promotion, and human resource development. In 2026, we strengthened this partnership by signing a memorandum on disaster waste management during major earthquakes and other large-scale disasters. We will continue to use our resources effectively to support the local community.

Conclusion of a Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Hanno Shinkin Bank for Regional Revitalization
In December 2022, we concluded a Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Hanno Shinkin Bank, headquartered in Hanno City, to promote regional revitalization and address local challenges. By participating in the “Accompaniment Support–Based Regional Platform,” a public–private collaboration initiative established by Hanno Shinkin Bank, we contribute to the advancement of environmental initiatives, the conservation of natural environments, and the resolution of regional issues.
Outing Card “SANTOME TUNAGU”
With the question of how we can meaningfully “exist” within this region in mind, we created a card-based information initiative to serve as a bridge between our company and the surrounding area. These cards are displayed at the Oak Woods Community Plaza in Santome Konjakumura. By visiting local facilities and shops and sharing information from those who support and collaborate with this initiative (50 locations as of December 2025), we invite visitors to pick up a card and think, “Where should I go next?” Through this approach, we aim to create a continuous cycle of regional collaboration and connection. *”Tunagu” means “to connect” in Japanese
“Zero Waste” Activities Ongoing for Over 25 Years

This volunteer activity began in 2000, when illegal dumping in the woodlands surrounding our headquarters had become a local issue, driven by a desire to protect both the community and the natural environment. Today, the activity is carried out twice a year with the participation of local NPO members and has continued for over 25 years. To date, the total volume of waste collected—including trash, fallen leaves, and sediment—amounts to 796 cubic meters. If stacked vertically, it would exceed the height of the Tokyo Skytree (634 meters). By restoring the surrounding environment, this initiative also helps us reflect on and realign our own attitudes and values. We remain sincerely committed to continuing this effort.

Participation, Support, and Sponsorship of Activities

We contribute to supporting the next generation and expanding initiatives through diverse forms of participation and engagement.

Green Blue Education Forum(GBEF)
This next-generation development initiative is co-hosted by the Ministry of the Environment and the “Place for Nature-Based Experiences” Research Organization, chaired by Noriko Ishizaka, President of Ishizaka Inc. Under the theme “The Environment We Want to Protect, the Future We Want to Create,” the program invites young people aged 25 and under from across Japan to submit videos presenting their ideas and proposals inspired by hands-on experiences. Outstanding submissions are selected and recognized through a review process. Launched in 2019, the initiative marked its sixth edition in 2025, which was held at the World Play and Learning Summit within the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Through Environmental Education rooted in real-world experiences, we continue to support the social implementation of children’s ideas, helping them connect to and shape the future.
